The PA-450PIA is a passive infrared sensor designed to offer wide-angle coverage while minimizing false alarms caused by small animals, making it ideal for residential and commercial settings where pets are present. This sensor provides a maximum coverage area of 12 meters (approximately 36 feet) with a detection angle designed to prevent dead zones directly below the unit. It is equipped with pet immunity, which allows it to distinguish between human intruders and smaller animals up to a certain weight threshold.

The sensor's sensitivity can be adjusted through four selectable levels—60%, 80%, 100%, and 120%—to suit various environmental conditions and security requirements. Additionally, the PA-450PIA features a pulse count option that can be set to 1 or 2 pulses, enhancing its ability to discriminate between false movements and genuine threats. It incorporates an auto alarm memory that blinks the alarm LED for 3 minutes and remains lit for 47 minutes, providing a clear indication of an alarm event even after it has been reset. This model also supports easy installation with adjustable mounting options, making it versatile for different application scenarios.
